“First, let me express my gratitude to Alily for such an enlightening coaching experience. I really needed the reinforcement I got from our 5 hour session which made me want to continue coaching session with her.
I try my best to do what I know is beneficial to me but prior to the coaching session, I have had so many excuses that hindered my own progress. Knowing someone’s truly interested to give her time to listen to my struggles, goals, and success, was the biggest push!
I love the way Aly facilitated our sessions. We started with meditation. Her voice is very clear and calm. She encouraged me to be open but still in control. “It hasn’t always been easy for me to open up to other people about my worries and insecurities. The only true coaching I have experienced in the past were my times in the counselor’s office when I was in High School. Fortunately, I have family and a few friends with whom I can talk to, but I have not gone to a professional for any coaching, nor did I think I needed to.
I was very excited to start coaching sessions with Alily. I didn’t really know what to expect but I knew it would benefit me to open up and speak to someone about my fitness and wellness goals that I have had for a very long time. One of my main goals was to find a physical activity that I enjoy. Because of Alily’s encouragement, I was inspired to act on this goal. We've discussed all of the reasons why I haven't worked on my goals and found ways to overcome the roadblocks. I found a Pilates studio and signed up. I now have Pilates classes regularly and this has become part of my routine. I've also made progress on developing healthy eating habits to complement my newfound fitness regimen.
I learn more things about myself with every coaching session. I have felt encouraged, motivated, and empowered to act on my goals. I especially enjoyed the meditation at the start of every session. I used to be a chronic worrier until I discovered transformative nurse coaching. I decided to give it a try, thinking I had nothing to lose. The coaching sessions with Alily were life changing. “Before I started having Ali as my Nurse Coach, I was at the end of my own journey with the goal to becoming a Board-Certified Nurse Coach and Board-Certified Holistic Nurse. Professionally, I was preparing to transition myself from a Periop Clinical Coordinator to becoming a first time Nurse manager of a clinic. My son was preparing to graduate from high school. I have 4 children and he is my 3rd child. The rest of my children are girls and the 2nd daughter - I was trying to get her home from her first year of college in Oregon for her brother's graduation, then have her go back to finish her final exams and then to come back home again for the summer. With all that going on, there were a lot of moving parts and stress that I was going through. Ali , in her nurse coaching was a breath of fresh air.
